1959-the Music School
foundation 1997-the High School foundation 2002-anphitheatre opening In Targoviste in 1956, the Music and Fine Arts School was founded. There have been several teachers who would teach in this school. They had foreign music or arts studies (France, Germany). They were professional and high quality schoolteachers and they had prepared for they job, taking courses at the music University from Brasov, Iasi, Bucharest and Cluj.

(Italy, France, Germany, Canada, Venezuela, and United States of America). In 1997 the school had turned into a high-school managed by the headmaster Boghici Constantina and in 1999 The Music University was founded as a high form of professional training. |
EDUCATIONAL OFFER
a) high-school Music major – 1 class Fine arts major – 1 class Architecture major – 1 class b) secondary-school Music major – 1 class Fine arts major – 1 class c) primary-school Music major – 1 class d) supplementary art education 16 places Beyond the material achievements related to modern equipments – an amphitheatre with 210 places, a warm teachers’ room, 3 new classrooms and 4 new individual study classrooms, and 4 new individual study classrooms, computing laboratory which includes 16 PC connected to Internet, new furniture for 4 classes, 1 gym, an A3 printer and a psychological office – we managed to be efficient at a psycho-social level. Pupils understood why they need the acknowledge objects like Romanian, Maths, Geography or History, both for the national exams and for the well-balanced and harmonious development of a future artist. Secondly, discipline was another aspect we grown aware of. The ferme way of leading the school was assured pupils’ adequate behaviour. The work atmosphere has also been redefined. We think that people need a motivation to work both for the benefit of our institution and their own. We also believe that in the hierarchy of human needs, at the superior level are respect, recognition and self achievement. Therefore, the managing team intends to provide her partners with an atmosphere defined by respect, trust, independence in didactic acts and recognition of real values. Our educational partners are the ones who could appreciate better the degree to which we have achieved our goals. In 2001, in our high-school was founded an architecture department, because of the local needs to create better conditions for the future young architects. There are 83 students in the architecture department (30 students in the 9th grade, 28 students in the 10th grade, 25 students in the 11thgrade) from Targoviste or other cities and villages. The purpose is to select gifted students for the University, for Architectural Institute “Ion Mincu” from Bucharest. After the graduation, pupils must sustain final exams and they get a diploma which offers them the chance to become designers. |
